Is anyone else having problems getting into mail? I keep getting that unavailable message. I'd say this happens about 90% of the time. I then re-fresh the page and sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. I'm also noticing lately that when I go to send an email, the little airplane icon is grayed out, and I can't send the email. Any ideas what's going on?

It sounds like you have a problem with the connection between your computer and the provider who owns your mail server. Who is your mail provider? POP or IMAP? Is this on your Mac Mini G4? I don't remember an airplane icon on anything but the iPhone.

The problems seems like it started pretty recently. I don't remember it being like this before. Yes I'm still using the G4 mini. I'm using Comcast as the ISP. No idea if it's POP or IMAP, it's whatever Apple's Mobile Me is.

MobileMe is IMAP. I quit using it about 18 months ago. If you login using their webmail interface you can see reports of recent outages, etc. The problem is most likely on their end of the connection.
